Traditional Karate Curriculum
This program teaches the Wado-Ryu curriculum in a large group setting. The essential elements of traditional karate including kihon (“basics”), kata (forms), and kumite (sparring) are covered. Students advance through the colored belt system from white to black. Classes are in full uniform (gi), and are conducted according to classic formal protocols.
These classes are divided based on age and rank. The schedule occasionally changes, but loosely follows the following divisions:
Karate Kid Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced (ages 5-11)
Adult Classes (ages 12 and up)
Black Belt Only Classes
